I believe Penny's face is one of my first attempts at drawing features. Many Prim dolls have unusual and often times distorted features. Some have sewn the fabric to represent eyes, mouth and noses. Some have buttons and unusually shaped little trinkets.
The top is from a lace curtain I had. It is designed by A Stitch In Time on Etsy and I made the skirt one of my first attempts at pleats.
I love the body of the doll, it too is designed by A Stitch In Time. I haven't worked on a doll in many weeks and will get back to it soon. I've been in a bit of a creative slump in the past few weeks. There is an ebb and flow to my creative process and I just move with it.
The cute part about this doll is that when I drew the first face on the doll I had drawn it on the wrong side, now each side has a face....cool!
