I so loved doing this doll. I used brocaded silk I got in the remnants bin at JoAnn Fabric. The focal beads are from enameled earrings I found at a garage sale. The face makes this piece. Lynn of Earth Shards on Etsy makes these unbelievable faces from monuments. There are holes drilled in the face which allows me to add earrings and other trinkets.
Illumination was made when I needed confidence. Mental illness drains one of hope and self worth. It is like being filled with black tar unable to move physically or emotionally. Healing doll work and bead work enable me to plow through the oftentimes bleakness and dark abyss one can find themselves in with any illness or gloom.

This Goddess doll is breath-taking. I can feel the love that was put into her creation! I also understand the frustration you feel sometimes when you want to go in one direction in creating the doll, and you are blocked and forced to let the doll have it's way.!!! Accept it and go with the flow! And usually it turns out much better than I anticipated! I am very pleased to have this wonderful creation in my home now! Thank you Brigit, Arzie Hodge
